You are invited to join an informal conversation at the Artport studios with artist Marissa Lee Benedict (b. 1985. US). Benedict has been in residence at Artport since June as part of a new international exchange program with the Hyde Park Art Center’s Jackman Goldwasser Residency. She will present a brief presentation on her current research into the parallels between Israeli and California infrastructure as related to water management and drought resistant technologies. Benedict will be producing sculpture and video installation works on these topics that will be presented in the next year at Bert Green Fine Art (Chicago, IL) and The Renaissance Society (University of Chicago, Chicago, IL).
